How is group training beneficial for you and your dog? The first benefit is that socialization with other dogs and people. The second benefit is that those other dogs and people provide distractions for your dog, so you're getting "real world" experience during the training session.
We do not recommend group situations if your dog is aggressive towards other dogs or people, is an excessive barker, or is too shy to handle the stress. That does not mean your dog will not ever be able to join group training...he/she just needs some behavioral modification which can be done on a one on one training basis with one of our K9 coaches.
Detailed training and homework assignments will be given each session.
Our Manners training courses come in three building blocks. Each building block increases and maintains a mutual trust between you and your canine friend, is essential for effective communication to your relationship, and strengthens your bond through shared activity. During your training sessions your dog's natural behaviors (ei jumping on people) will be directed to acceptable behaviors AND the more acceptable behaviors your dog learns, the less room there is for undesirable ones.
You may join the appropriate Manners course that fits what your dog already knows, needs to improve, or advancing to new behaviors.
